"The Intelivent system was recommended to us by the local engineers who had designed the system. During my work as a sustainability consultant I look into energy efficiencies of buildings. At the architecture practice we had been installing other heat exchanger systems but Intelivent offered a sophisticated and efficient system – while offering clear advantages over the more common attic fan systems.

We have recently bought a 1960s era brick house that had minimal insulation – and we didn't want to sit through a cold winter.

In conjunction with extra insulation, we installed the Intelivent system in November at the start of summer and it has made a huge difference keeping the house cool. When we turned it off for a few days, we noticed fairly quickly an increase in condensation and dampness in the house.

"We installed our Intelivent system just before Christmas because we wanted a good circulation of dry, fresh air in the house.

Our house was originally built in the 1960s with a top storey added in the 1980s. It's not very well insulated so it is quite cold in winter and can be really hot in summer – particularly on the top floor as the heat rises.

An architect recommended Intelivent to us who in turn recommended we install a heat pump. What's great is that the heat pump and the Intelivent system communicate with each other so the heat pump comes on when its too cold, or when we need air conditioning to cool the house down.

We used to have a dramatic heat difference between the two floors but now it is a lot cooler and a more even temperature throughout the house.

It's also definitely made a big difference with condensation – particularly in the bathroom – we now can't see condensation on the windows. It has also helped to remove cooking odours from the kitchen and the rest of the house.

Our two-year-old daughter suffers from excema and a little bit from asthma and coughing. And the dry, warm air from the Intelivent system has helped relieve that too.

The system took two days to install – and the whole installation was very professional. They turned up when they said they were going to and were really nice guys to have in the house."

"We live in smallish, two bedroom unit.

With a new baby on the way, we wanted to ensure that our home is drier this coming winter. We installed Intelivent system in summer and we instantly noticed the difference. Although it's hot and sticky weather outside the inside of our home is cooler without the usual humidity of outside weather. We had not had to use a fan, to cool down our home, since the system was installed. We do not need to have our front door open anymore, which is exposed to main road, which makes us feel more secure.
